For our second camping trip of the year we booked a campsite at Gull Harbour Campground in Hecla Provincial Park. The weather was not looking good for the weekend of June 7 but we were determined to not let the rain ruin our fun. This was the first time we loaded the kayak up and drove a far distance with it on the roof of my vehicle. I was super nervous but really excited to take it out on Lake Winnipeg. When I first began my fairy garden in 2006 I knew right away that I would plant foxgloves in it. The purple and speckled bell shaped flower oozed magic to me. Without having done any research on types of flowers that attract fairies I believed that the foxglove had this ability.
You may have noticed an increase in fox popularity recently. There’s been quite a wave of trendy forest critters over the last few years. For many a year the owl has been seen in fashion, accessories, stationary, home decor, jewellery and pretty much everywhere. I think the owl is still going strong but it’s slowly being over taken by the Fox.
