Hello, it’s me again! I know it’s been a while but I really hope you all had a beautiful summer filled with blooming flowers, singing birds and buzzing bees. My summer was one of the best I’ve had in many years and I will perhaps share that in the future. But a little part of me is jumping for joy that the magic of summer has slowly faded into our next season. AUTUMN! Yes! My favourite time of year. Our beautiful scarves, boots and warm sweaters have been patiently waiting in our closets for their chance to embrace the crisp autumn air. Finally it’s time for many evening strolls crunching over…
Under the Ivy is a little faerie shop located in England. I discovered the shop online through Etsy and couldn't believe my eyes!
Irish dancing is very special to me and I’ve been dedicated to it since 2010 when I signed up for my first lessons. I’ve progressed further than I would have ever thought especially since I started so late in life. A background in ballet gave me a good foundation since a lot of the positions and steps are the same just named differently.
A fashion trend I’ve really taken notice of this winter has been the faux fur vest. They have been everywhere and look so incredibly cozy. During winter we tend to wear layers and this is the perfect piece to layer over a thin long sleeved hoody or shirt. Add a scarf and some fur lined boots and you’ve got a great winter look.
When I go shopping or select an outfit from my wardrobe I always have a particular style and theme that I’m going for. My fashion choices are always inspired by the forest. The colours, textures and accessories all have qualities that resemble something natural. I’ve been dressing with this theme in mind for years and have been happy knowing I have my own personal style.
Like many others I’ve been awaiting the arrival of spring for what seems like forever. It continues to snow on and off and the snow is still all here. But recently I’ve started to see patches of grass and critters playing about. I think spring is finally around the corner! I’ve been so used to putting on the same warm fluffy sweater for so long I can’t even remember what it’s like to put on lighter clothing. Not having to wear socks with my shoes is something I still can’t do but maybe in the next month.
I am inspired a lot by fashion, culture and nature. This is always reflected in my choice of wardrobe and home decor.
You may have noticed an increase in fox popularity recently. There’s been quite a wave of trendy forest critters over the last few years. For many a year the owl has been seen in fashion, accessories, stationary, home decor, jewellery and pretty much everywhere. I think the owl is still going strong but it’s slowly being over taken by the Fox.
